Maria Laura coordinates business operations and development, working closely with clients, advisors, and consultants. She has expertise in international affairs, sustainability, the rule of law, anti-bribery legislation, strategic litigation, public procurement, and ESG practices. 

María Laura is an experienced Ecuadorian lawyer with a strong background in project management and legal research. She has led investigations in Ecuador, particularly in collaboration with multilateral organizations, focusing on anti-corruption efforts and identifying legal gaps. Her recent work includes a targeted investigation on corruption and public procurement.

In the realm of anti-corruption, María Laura is specialized in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and serves as an international legal consultant for Searby PLLC. She has led and coordinated investigations with NGOs across Latin America and Asia. Additionally, María Laura has been involved in efforts to combat deforestation in these regions and has participated in filing allegations under the Global Magnitsky Act. Within Ecuador, she is currently overseeing an investigation into bycatch and illegal fishing. She also plays a pivotal role in building relationships with NGOs and civil society actors through workshops and strategic litigation advisory sessions. 

María Laura also served on Ecuador's team at the Organization of American States (OAS), where she played a crucial role in supporting various diplomatic initiatives. María Laura is a member of the ICC Ecuador Commission on Integrity and Anti-Corruption and the Ecuadorian Center for Excellence in Anti-Corruption (CEEA).
